The 9 Best Poker Rooms in Las Vegas

The 9 Best Poker Rooms in Las Vegas

In this guide, we'll cover the best Las Vegas Poker Room to help you find the best place to play based on your desired games, stakes, and location.

Wynn/Encore (Best No-Limit Holdem)

The 28-table Wynn poker room has cemented itself as the most frequent host of high stakes No-Limit Texas Holdem cash games.

There are typically multiple tables of uncapped buy-in $5/$10 & $10/$20+ NLHE running. Even higher stakes deep cash games with blinds of $25/$50 or higher routinely run at the Wynn, especially during the summer and weekends.

Smaller stakes NLHE games can also play bigger at the Wynn than other Las Vegas rooms, as the max buy-ins are $500 for $1/$3 and $1,500 for $2/$5.

Wynn Poker Room 2

While another poker room on our list is more well know for Pot-Limit Omaha games, the Wynn does regularly have PLO cash game tables running at $1/$2 ($1000 max buy-in) and $5/$5 ($2,500 max buy-in). Higher stakes PLO games are fairly likely to be running, especially during the summer and on weekends.

The only downside to the Wynn poker room is that all of the best professional NL players know that this is the place to play big deep stack games. This can lead to some really tough games. However, known as the host to the biggest games, it's also the place where some of the biggest losing players go play No-Limit Holdem.

The last thing to note about the Wynn poker room is that they run multiple tournament series throughout the year with some huge prize pools. Additionally, daily tournaments run year-round with hundreds of thousands in guaranteed prize pools each week.

Outside of poker, the Wynn and Encore are hosts to some of the best nightclubs (XS and EBC at Night), day clubs (Encore Beach Club), and restaurants.

Bellagio (Alternative to Wynn For NLHE & Great for Limit Games)

Bellagio Legends Room

While it's less common for the 37-table Bellagio poker room to have ultra-high stakes No-Limit Texas Holdem games in my experience, they usually have a lot of $5/$10 ($1,500 max buy-in) & $10/$20 (uncapped buy-in) NLHE tables running relative to all other Las Vegas poker rooms.

There's also no shortage of lower stakes $1/$3 ($300 max buy-in) and $2/$5 ($500 max buy-in) NLHE games going.

Additionally, Bellagio regularly has multiple high-stakes Limit Holdem games and mixed games running.

Aria (Best For PLO)

Aria Poker Room

While most Las Vegas poker players would crown Wynn or Bellagio as the king of NLHE games, Aria is definitely the best Vegas poker room for Pot-Limit Omaha (PLO).

In addition to common $1/$2 and $5/$5 PLO games, aria also regularly runs $10/$10, $25/$25, and higher PLO games.

While the Aria poker room is best known for PLO, there's also plenty of No-Limit Holdem action. They regularly run $1/$3 ($300 max buy-in), $2/$5 ($1,000 max buy-in), $5/$10 ($3,000 max buy-in), and $10/$20 (uncapped buy-in) NLHE cash games. Occasionally, even higher-stakes NLHE games run.

As a whole, I also love Aria outside of its poker room. It was one of my go-to places to stay before I moved back to Vegas thanks to its great ambience and restaurants. It's also host to Jewel Nightclub and Liquid Pool Lounge.

South Point and Red Rock (Best for Off-Strip Locals)

If you're living (or staying) off the strip, South Point and Red Rock are favorites among locals who live off of the strip.

South Point Casino's 30-table poker room, located a little over 5 miles south of the Las Vegas strip, always has a number of $1/2 ($300 max buy-in) and $1/$3 ($600 max buy-in) NLHE games running.

South Point Poker Room

Red Rock Casino's 20-table poker room is located about 20 minutes west of the strip in Summerlin. There are usually at least a few $1/$2 ($300 max buy-in) NLHE games and at least one $2/$5 ($1,000 max buy-in) NLHE table running.

Golden Nugget (Downtown Las Vegas Poker Option)

If you're downtown ("Old Vegas"), the Golden Nugget is the only game in (down)town. There will usually be a lot of $1/$2 No-Limit Holdem tables running.

What makes these $1/$2 games special is that they're uncapped, which often leads to the deepest $1/$2 games in all of Vegas.

Honorable Mentions

While the Las Vegas poker rooms above are the most noteworthy, here are a few others worth considering.

The 32-table Venetian Poker Room is one of the larger and nicer rooms. It regularly has a ton of lower-stakes running.

Caesar's Palace often has some of the softest low-stakes games on Omnia club nights, due to the poker room being located right by the nightclub. Even if drunk clubgoers don't end up at your table, it can be fun to people-watch while at the tables.

Resorts World's poker room is new and not yet very established, but the casino as a whole is one of the newest and nicest on the strip. While there aren't yet many games regularly running, the poker room has incredible staff, comfort, and ambience.
